impact highlights

See what happens when we collaborate for a greater purpose.

Our work doesn’t succeed without thoughtful partnerships with food businesses, non-profits, social justice movements, entertainers, and corporate partners who are all advancing the work for a sustainable & equitable food system. Check out some of our awesome collaborations:

Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market

Sharing Excess has created an onsite gleaning operation that works every weekday to sort, pack, and distribute food donations to local food banks. More than 10 million pounds rescued!

Beast Philanthropy

Mr. Beast and his non-profit, Beast Philanthropy, have teamed up with SE to rescue and redistribute millions of meals across America. Together, we're reimagining food rescue and bringing millions of viewers to help.

Trader Joe's

We now work with 14+ Trader Joe's stores across four states: PA, MD, VA, and NJ. Our dedicated drivers pickup from these stores everyday–making sure all donations (shares) are rescued and delivered to local communities in a timely manner.

Do Good Foods

Do Good Foods partners with Sharing Excess to create chicken feed from any gleaned produce that is not ideal or edible for human consumption. Together, we ensure that no food ever has to go to waste.

WARP Logistics

Sharing Excess has formed an innovative partnership with WARP Logistics to provide on-demand transportation nationally for our food rescue partners. Together, we are able to rescue and deliver surplus food, anytime, anywhere.

Milky Chance

One of the world's most popular alt/indie/rock bands, Milky Chance, volunteers with SE before their Boston show to get hands-on with food distribution and spread the word about the potential of food rescue in America.

The GIANT Company

The GIANT Company has been a steadfast partner of Sharing Excess since 2019. Together, we have distributed over 1 million meals to the Philadelphia communities. In 2021, GIANT even donated a refrigerated box truck to SE!

Food Banks

We partner with food banks all over the United States to get the food that we rescue to communities in need. Sharing Excess aims to automate sourcing and food rescue for food banks so they can cut costs and support even more organizations.

Drexel University

Sharing Excess was founded at Drexel in 2018. Since then, we've hired more than 70 students through Drexel's renowned co-op program to build Sharing Excess into the national hunger-relief organization that it is today.
